Tropics Cargo UK Ltd is a UK based business specialising in the import of meat products from Europe direct to the UK. With a Belgium based distribution facility, Tropics Cargo BE offers daily consignments to the UK to deliver your shipments to all major British cities. Operating a large fleet of chilled vehicles, means we can offer a complete distribution solution to the food and meat industry.
TRADING
Our dedicated trading service enables you to have smaller, one-pallet loads, shipped to any location in the UK. Whether you want just one pallet, or a full lorry carrying 26 pallets, our skill and flexibility allow for a completely bespoke offering should that be required. In addition to this, our warehousing and storage facilities comply with the highest quality standards and are at your disposal at any time.
We deal directly with all the major processing plants to bring our customers the finest products at the most competitive prices. We import directly to the UK, meaning there is no import paperwork for our customers to deal with and deliver to our customers on our own vehicles, meaning we have full control for the best delivery times.

Andy Kempson is the International Sales Manager for Tropics Cargo UK, with 24 years of meat and industry experience and knowledge. He joined the business in 2007 as the poultry factory manager and later became International Sales Manager in 2021. Andy oversees the day-to-day sales and imports within the business with a strong focus on value for money and customer satisfaction with on time deliveries, with a “say what you do and do what you say” attitude towards every delivery.
Whilst Andy has overall responsibility for sales, he has an enthusiasm for all customers whether a single pallet to a full truck, every customer is treated with utmost respect.

Gert Prudon is the Managing Director of Tropics Cargo Belgium with 45 years of operational experience and industry knowledge. He joined the business in 1991 and became Managing Director in 2007. Gert oversees the day to day management of the business with a strong focus on all transport operations into the UK. He strives for operational excellence and as such seeks to identify and implement pioneering processes and procedures to support the business in its operational activities.
Whilst Gert has overall responsibility and oversight of operational aspects for the business, he is a significant member of the trading team and devotes much of his time managing key accounts, with a focus on improving the customer experience and retaining long-term relationships.
